In 2014, God started a work in Denver called White Flag Calvary. We are called "White Flag" because the term symbolizes surrender. Surrender is a simple way to explain how we are to relate to God through the New Covenant of Grace. It combines the ideas of humility and faith into one word.

The heartbeat of our church is discipleship. We long to grow in knowing Jesus more and more through His Word and grace in our lives. One on one discipleship is common among our family and we are always happy when the Lord brings someone who wants to grow in His grace with us.

Our church is not a building, but a family.

Pastor Shawn Reinsel and his wife Dana.

"And God [is] able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work."
2 Corinthians 9:8 NKJV

Pastor Shawn is a local kid, born in Denver. At the age of 2, he had open-heart surgery at St. Luke’s. He grew up more in Colorado Springs and then High School in Greeley. He came to know Jesus and was baptized at Rocky Mountain Calvary in Colorado Springs when he was 11. Very soon after than he began to feel the calling to be a pastor. But if he knew all the pain it would take, maybe he would have gone another way. Please watch this testimony for more on that.

Shawn’s Testimony

In time, after healing from the breakup of his first marriage, the Lord graciously made a way for Shawn to reunite and marry his childhood sweetheart, Dana, and create a new home for a family that now included six bright, healthy boys. Together, Pastor Shawn and his wife, Dana, share an impassioned commitment to bring the message of hope in Christ alone to the Denver area and to faithfully raise their active family in the ways of the Lord. They each have a unique connection to serving those struggling in troubled marriages, to the broken-hearted and to servants waiting upon the Lord in a time of discipleship.

White Flag Calvary is a non-denominational church associated with Calvary Chapel planted out of Calvary Aurora. We believe that the systematic teaching of God’s infalible Word, verse by verse, is the best way for a congregation to know the whole counsel of God.
